We are closed during lockdown. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we can welcome guests back to the cottage again, and we are taking bookings for holidays from March 2021 onwards. Final payments are due a month before your stay, but bookings are fully refundable or rebookable (whichever you prefer) if we remain closed due to Covid-19 at the time of your stay.
We have extra safety cleaning measures in place with disinfection of high touch surfaces between guests, and provision of hand sanitiser, cleaning products, soap and washing up liquid for you to maintain proper hygiene during your stay. Linens and towels will be washed at a high temperature but if you wish to bring your own bedding as an extra precaution please let us know.
We require you to adhere to current government advice/instructions and act within current social distancing and hygiene rules before and during your stay.
Importantly, you must not come to the cottage if you have been, or suspect you have been, exposed to the virus, or you develop symptoms, and must therefore self-isolate at home. If you are unable to come due to the need to self-isolate at home we will offer to re-book your stay for a later date, or a refund.
Equally, if you show any signs of having the virus during your stay you must immediately self-isolate to minimise any risk of transmission, and seek a test – see this link for the government advice if you fall ill with symptoms while visiting. If the test is positive, government advice is that you must let us know and leave for home immediately if able, avoiding public transport or unnecessary stops on your way home. You may wish to leave the cottage for home immediately after your test to await your result, especially if you are nearing the end of your stay. If you need to leave for this reason we will offer the unused portion of your stay towards a further holiday with us. If you are unable to leave and must self-isolate at the cottage you must bear the cost of any additional stay (again, this is in the government guidelines).
